Aleksandar's work synthesizes the world of leisure and pastime into critical, intense visual manifestos of everyday (non)living. Notes, scribbles, smears and score keeping memorialize what happens in-between the grand gestures of life and contemplate the intimate and intricate mentality of the mundane, i.e. a playground or in a game of 'jamb'. He uses bright colors and expressive strokes and markings which can often include the very process of putting a painting together including the dimensions of the canvas itself. Aleksandar's compositions are balanced, mature and beautiful. In many respects his works are orchestral and in their plurality extraordinarily rich and moving. The mundane becomes grand.
